At Treeline Realty, we believe great leadership doesn’t just guide a business—it shapes lives. In this exclusive interview, we sat down with our very own Kristen Pell, Broker and Owner of Treeline Realty, to uncover the heart behind her leadership, the journey that shaped her, and the wisdom she now shares with her team and clients.
Kristen reminds us that real estate isn’t just about selling homes—it’s about showing up for people, building trust, and creating space for others to thrive. Here's what she had to say:
π¬ What does “home” mean to you—beyond a house?
“Home is where your senses come alive.
It’s the smell of oven-baked treats or holiday candles that instantly bring comfort. It’s watching the sunrise through your bedroom window, feeling the cozy warmth of your couch on a rainy day, or tasting a family meal with everyone you love gathered around the table.
It’s the sound of laughter in the kitchen, the memories being made in the backyard, and the sense of belonging that fills every corner.
There’s a deep emotional attachment and nostalgia that transforms a house into a home—it’s not just where you live, it’s where your life unfolds.”
π What would your past self be proud of you for today?
“I think my past self would be proud of me for finally learning to trust and listen to my inner wisdom.
I’ve always been a naturally agreeable listener, which can be a strength—but for a long time, it held me back from fully expressing my own voice, standing firm in my beliefs, or being assertive when it mattered most.
A few life-altering events in the past five years pushed me to reflect inward, and what I discovered was the quiet power of intuition that had always been there.
Today, I no longer suppress it—I lean into it. That shift has transformed how I make decisions, who I surround myself with, and what I choose to tolerate or walk away from.
I think my past self would be proud to see me living a life in flow, deeply connected to my own guidance, and honoring the wisdom within.”
π― When have you felt the most connected to your purpose?
“I feel most connected to my purpose when I’m mentoring and supporting my agents.
There’s something incredibly fulfilling about sharing what I’ve learned and then watching them take that knowledge, apply it, and truly blossom over time.
I love cheering them on in their wins, being a steady presence during the struggles, and working side by side to find creative solutions when challenges arise.
That kind of culture—where growth, support, and contribution are at the center—fills my soul.
It reminds me that my purpose isn’t just about building a business; it’s about building people.”
π€ What’s one thing you’ve learned from a client that stuck with you?
“I’ve been fortunate to work with clients who’ve come back to me time and time again—and who’ve referred their friends and family. That kind of repeat business is incredibly humbling.
What I’ve learned from those clients is just how powerful true loyalty is.
It’s easy to talk about loyalty, but when you actually experience it—especially in moments when you feel like you didn’t fully earn it—it leaves a lasting impact.
It creates a bond built on trust and mutual confidence.
I’ve learned to receive that kind of loyalty with gratitude, and to reflect it back not just in business, but in my personal relationships too.
It’s a profound reminder that the way we show up for people matters—and it multiplies over time.”
πͺ What advice do you return to when you need a reminder of your strength?
“I’ve been blessed with a lot of wise advice throughout my life, and my faith in God is my ultimate source of strength.
But if I’m being honest, the first thing that comes to mind isn’t a quote or a piece of advice—it’s my husband.
I could try to summon strength on my own, but nothing compares to the unwavering support he gives me.
His belief in me has provided more confidence and inner strength than anything else on this earth.
He reminds me of my worth constantly, especially when I forget.
I truly believe God brought him into my life to be that steady reminder of who I am and what I’m capable of.
I’d be lost without him.”
β¨ Any final words of advice or inspiration?
“One of my favorite quotes is, ‘Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors.’
If I can encourage anyone today, it’s this: embrace the hard times.
I know it’s not easy when you’re in it, but those seasons are shaping you, preparing you for what’s ahead.
There is purpose in the struggle.
You will get through it—and when you do, you’ll be stronger, wiser, and more resilient than you ever imagined.”
