Art Walk Started in 2008 by the Gallery Owners of the time. This event is held on the first Friday of every month. Downtown Fort Myers has always been known for art and history. Life has been difficult for the event as the Great Recession made if hard for an artist to sell anything. But, just like every good machine, the event is doing its job for the local business in the area. Creating a buzz for the growing city of Fort Myers.
Throughout a few years, Art Walk of Fort Myers has shifted in dynamic from being a shop and store affair to a street party. As our wonderful city grows and the events get bigger. It’s always nice to see the roots of the fantastic innovation of a small business owner to improve both the area and their business.
