Downtown Fort Myers, the home of Edison and Ford winter estates. This cozy growing city is neighbored by Cape Coral and Estero. Two events held monthly, music walk and art walk show the heart of the city. Fort Myers is art oriented in many ways with live performances from local bands, picture perfect backgrounds. A beautiful river called the Caloosahatchee, perfect for boating, and fishing. The river is studded with high rises both new and old. The beach is just a short drive away from the downtown center. A modern beautiful library with ample amounts of reading space and balconies overlooking the street. With a selection of coffee shops my favorite being the Starbucks on the corner just before the main drag. Bars and clubs allow for a healthy nightlife. If dancing isn’t your style there is a cigar bar for a slower pace down the road. In the center, there’s a courthouse and performance arts center. As one Agent will account “We use to plan a day to go Christmas shopping at Edison mall, then got eat lunch at one of the restaurants downtown. This was before I 75, we used 41 and from Naples, took from sun up to sun down”. Fort Myers has a strong tradition among its residents. The city has just recently seen some security upgrades as well, Cameras lining every street and corner.
